Microencapsulated Strains – Probiocap®
Nutraceutical
Probiotics |
Probiocap® tecnology has been developed by Lallemand, leader company in the production of probiotic microorganisms, as a complementation to some of their proprietary strains.
The technology leads to the microencapsulation of bacterial cells and consists, through a fluid bed methodology, in covering lyophilized cells with vegetable fat matrix. The product which is obtained is characterized by an average particle size of 300 microns and each Probiocap® particle contains on average 100,000 to 500,000 CFU.
Microencapsulation confers to the probiotic strain an improved resistance to the common stresses that can be detrimental for bacterial vitality, such as acid gastric pH, heat shock and compression.
Lallemand strains available in Probiocap® version are
- Lactobacillus helveticus Rosell-52, 50 miliardi UFC/g
- Lactobacillus rhamnosus Rosell-11, 40 miliardi UFC/g
- Bifidobacterium longum Rosell-175, 25 miliardi UFC/g
