Chaste tree is a herb that originates in the Mediterranean area. Main bioactive phyto-compounds extracted from fruits are eucubin and agnuside, both belonging to glycosidic iridoids.

Chaste tree extract is a remedy indicated for normalization of menstrual cycle and of ovulation and for reduction of synthoms of pre-menstrual syndrome and menopause. Hypothesized mechanism of action is through a dopaminergic-like action.
